Finding "Kink-Friendly" in the
Mental Health World
Lady Elle’s interactive presentation will teach participants how to find and vet kink-friendly therapists. She will discuss what to expect from counselling and how to identify red flags that a therapist is not a good match for people involved in kink/BDSM.
Lady Elle has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years. She has worked with and counselled people living on low incomes who are also connected to community supports and services. Our guest speaker has also worked in private practice for several years before opting to work in an agency that offered a better work/life balance.
She returned to graduate studies to focus on how the mental health profession can improve how it works with people in the kink and BDSM community. Her goal is to develop an education program that transforms kink-friendly therapists into kink-affirming therapists. Lady Elle is also in a FLR relationship with Her lifelong partner, henry.
Play Piercing for Pervs
Learn the how's and why's of play piercing. It can be artistic, sadistic, and can empower both top and bottom. Curious about technique? Wondering about supplies? Concerned about safety? This demo followed by a Q&A will set you on the path to safe, hygienic and beautiful sharps play.
MadamSuncast (she/her, bottom-leaning switch) finds bottoming for sharps to be very meditative. It's also a wonderful way of connecting with her top, and creates a sense of personal accomplishment and personal transformation. MadamSuncast enjoys being a pincushion for trustworthy play partners.
Pleasure_Tyrant (they/them, Dom/top) started sharps play when they were a child, pushing sewing needles through the skin on their fingers. As an adult, they learned proper hygienic and artistic play piercing techniques and have been honing those skills for the past 6 years. They find sharps play deeply meditative and rewarding.
Play is a Powerful Practice
Add joy to your life by supporting
your mind, body and spirit.
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”
Modern living can be demanding and stressful. Tedious tasks and mundane responsibilities often feel like a drag. Learning to lighten up and play
becomes a true necessity.
Some people seem naturally talented at being playful. Others need more guidance and encouragement.
Sensual self-exploration is a form of self-care you can easily nurture.
Having the right tools makes playtime even more exciting.
You won’t want to miss this holistic perspective on pleasure. Experience an adventure of self-discovery through play with CherryPoppin Suzie.
Relationship Anarchy: Decolonizing Love and Connection
Stella Monique Vandal is a queer and neurodivergent interdisciplinary artist and writer who has made her home on Manitoulin Island. Her work explores the intersections of systemic stigma,
personal resilience, and communal care.
She weaves together her lived experiences, drawing on her background as a queer, neurodivergent artist
and advocate, the work of psychologists leading in the field, and what she learned living alongside Anishinabek and Haudenosaunee people. Vandal invites the audience to reimagine love, community, and reciprocity beyond hierarchical norms. Through stories of struggle and transformation, she shares how embracing interdependence and honouring one's sacred point
of view can be powerful tools for personal authenticity and collective healing.
Through her art and public engagements, Stella challenges audiences to embrace authentic relationships, deconstruct hierarchies, and build connections rooted in mutual care as radical acts of sovereignty and pathways to collective liberation.
Flying Floggers
"My name is cuff14662 however everyone just calls me cuff and the reason is that I am very prone to making off the cuff comments that even shock myself.
I attended my first munch in the West End of Hamilton in 2003, I decided that it was in my best interest to learn material on forums, as it takes my mind a little longer to process new material.
I re-entered in 2005.
My passion lies within the art of floggers, through countless hours of practical time working with floggers.
I have been behind the handles of various floggers spanning over 15 years.
Flog on Garth!"
Born to Spank Ass
Our KINKY to The Core conference embodies the passion and dedication of a proud Hamiltonian, Mistress Cecilia.
Our organizer began hosting her fun and sexy monthly HOT in The Hammer events at The Staircase Cafe Theatre back in February of 2024.
"I attended My first fetish party in Toronto back in 1998, and have engaged in play on “both sides of the slash” ever since. My greatest passion, however, is in living and working as a Professional Dominatrix."
As someone who has lived in this city since 2000, her involvement in the local scene was pretty minimal for most of her time living here. That changed in 2024 when she started hosting "HOT in The Hammer" -- mainly to meet other kinksters downtown -- because it takes too long to get to Stoney Creek by bus. ;-)
Floggers, FemDom and the Future of Play Parties in Hamilton
We’re going to start with a 15-minute flogging demonstration by Hamilton’s notable flogging coach , cuff14662.
Then we will meet Mistress Cecilia, the conference organizer, who will introduce you to her fascinating story of becoming a trained, mentored and certified Dominatrix – 25 years after her first play party in Toronto in 1998.
Then… YOU, the workshop participants, will take center stage for a discussion that has great significance for Hamilton’s kink community: what is the future of public play parties in Hamilton?
Why ask the question? There have been changes to the scene over the years, especially due to the COVID 19 pandemic, with its restrictions on public gatherings and new rules becoming the norm for many, due to public health measures such as masking and limited physical contact with our friends and play partners.
The biggest impact on the local play party scene? Losing the Club Edge monthly play parties for the foreseeable future! We were so fortunate to benefit from Sit John’s years of hospitality and service to the Hamilton kink/BDSM communities. Of course there are private parties, but how do newbies connect with them? Who is willing to take on the enormous labour of love that it takes to make these gatherings not just possible, but also safe and affordable?
What can we do to foster a culture of public play that is welcoming, diverse, and based on the principles of RAK/SSC – promoting safety and sound ethics? What are the obstacles? What are the opportunities? Is someone already making moves to fill this gap in our local scene? How can we help?
We’ve extended this session for what we hope will be a helpful, hopeful discussion!
